Abbey Moor is a genuine natural Yorkstone quarried close to the Yorkshire town of Barnsley and is available from RGB in a number of finishes including diamond sawn, flame textured, tumbled and sandblasted.
The Yorkstone is available in a blend of light blue, grey and rustic buff, brown and is highly durable and hard wearing and suitable for both pedestrian and traffic areas. Abbey Moor is used across the UK in city and town centre regeneration projects, historical heritage sites as well as more modern contemporary schemes.
Abbey Moor is manufactured with a unique calibration process which uses four calibration heads grinding off 0.5mm from the slab thickness, with the fourth head removing all saw marks and giving a final polish to the stone.
Whilst providing an exceptional finish to the product and accurate tolerances, the product maintains excellent skid resistance properties even when wet for the whole life of the product.
A full range of accessories – including tactile and corduroy paving, kerbs, setts, limestone step units, benches and bespoke units – are available.
